Our Beginnings
Anchor Room Coffeehouse was conceived in the imaginations of several people in different places and different times. As our paths converged, we were convinced that it was meant to be. Because of our faith and our desire to make a difference in our community and beyond, Anchor Room Coffeehouse was born.
Why a Coffeehouse?
A coffeehouse is the modern-day well. People come to the coffeehouse to connect with community, to have a peaceful environment to meet up with friends, or for a nice caffeine-fueled study break! We're excited to create such a space and to use the proceeds to fund important projects.

To our beloved guests,
It is with great sadness that Anchor Room Coffeehouse announces the closing of their doors on July 31st, 2024.
Since July 14, 2021, this coffeehouse, founded by a small group of visionary women, has thrived despite the challenges of a national pandemic and a downtown neighborhood in transition. We've celebrated three years of service, job training, and community support. However, at this time, we face hardships that are beyond our control.
We deeply appreciate your loyal patronage and generosity and hope to continue to serve you in the future.
